Anet lied about wintersday?
"The Wintersday event begins on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 and runs for 13 days, with the grand finale taking place on Monday, January 1, 2007."
This was taken directly off of the Wintersday page on the Guild Wars website. According to this, the Wintersday Festival should have started today and yet there is nothing there. It is 20:30 GMT, 14:30 CST and there is nothing there. Shouldn't we have at least heard from Anet about a date change in their festival? And yes I know that on the login screen it says that the festival will start "tomorrow" but it said that yesterday as well.
wtf anet?

Is the day even over yet? No. Give it a rest before claiming Anet lied. Good grief.

It is just after noon in the time zone Anet operates in - perhaps the cries of despair are being tossed a bit too early?
Still 11.5 hours left of the 20th in the local time zone they use to start all these events.

What is rude are petulant little brats making demands. Just to make it clear, there was no exact time stated. Give the whining a rest already.

It's being released to characters in alphabetical order. My characters all start with "C" and are experiencing Winterday.

OMG, the day isnt over net, why start the "we hate Anet" bandwagon before the day is even over?
Anet don't have to give us this event, they have taken the timeout to do it, but you start flaming already, tbh this thread deserves a lock as its nothing but flame, nothing constructive.
No doubt Gaile will show up and politely defend Anet, and you'll just flame her, why don't you just go find something else to do with your life and wait for the update like everybody else.

STFU? Waaa-waaaa! I demand Santa bring me my presents NOW! Waa-waa!
Grow up. I'm getting really sick of all the lame noobish dramatics people are pulling. So Anet is a bit late. It happens, get over it.
Instant gratification will occur less and less and you progess in life. Deal with it.

Well, it's easy to see what happened.
After DoA was disaster, half of Anet's employees were laid off, the rest took 50% paycut.
Unable to continue the development of chapter 4, NCSoft got rid of Anet, and ordered them to shut down the game.
After all the chest runners, farmers who can no longer cope with AI, disgruntled pvpers who got replaced by heroes in HA quit the game, Anet simply doesn't care about the remaining 312 players, so they lie through their teeth about some mythical Wintersday, while instead they are planning to shut down the servers for good.
And just because at least half of the people won't get it, the above is sarcasm.
I mean, seriously, this drama is getting ridiculous.

For those of you who haven't seen anet's countdown to the Wintersday finale on the GW site, it says that there are 11 days left before the event. Contrary to this, they said that the Wintersday festival was going to run for 13 days. THIS, my friends, is the problem I have, not that it hasn't started yet. I am perfectly aware that this day is still nine hours and fifteen minutes from being over (or 3.25 if you go by GMT) but if they were going to do it, I feel that they would have done it already. Things like this they usually start at noon and it is past noon even where anet operates from.

I feel like a broken record saying this but,
Anet never said when, today, the event would start. Everyone assumed Midnight PST or Noon PST, and people thought it was the truth because everyone said the same thing.
